About Maisie Mehri

I am an ART lover who believes in art and what it can bring to human. I am just trying to read each face which makes me stare at longer. I do believe each face has its own story; that's the reason for choosing the title of 'Faces Talk' for my recent collection. I owe many people who helped me to discover this way of communication, among all; I would like to thank two of my dearest masters: Siavosh Mahvis and Bamdad Rezvanian. I have learned a lot from them and it has not been just the colours and techniques, they taught me how to look deeper.

 

I started painting when I was very young but the serious chapter of my learning book started in 2001. I have been always keen on trying different techniques and means to draw and paint. Pastel and Acrylic are the most challenging media for me. 

 

War, poverty and hard life are the themes of my works. Furthermore, children's faces can talk more about them or it is better to say they talk much more honestly as they are not masked.
